Long weekend / 26 weeks & 3 days

This weekend we were supposed to be on Vacation with my family.  But being pregnant has made me tired, and the thought of trying to keep up with everyone didn't excite me much.  Especially, since I can't do a whole lot right now anyway.  And don't get me started on sleeping in my own bed.  I'm not sleeping that good anyway, but having my own bed is a must!!  :)

Chris took Friday and Monday off, and we did a couple of fun things with our girls this weekend.  First on Friday, we rode the Heber Creeper, or the Heber Valley Railroad.  We took Chris' mom along too.

There were even a couple of Train Robbers that surprised us!

It was HOT!  I mean, I thought I just might pass right out.  Our window wouldn't stay open, so I rolled up my jacket and stuck it in the window, so we would have some sort of a breeze.  And pulled my hair up.  I think that would have been my only complaint.  There was a snack car, so we feasted on popcorn, drinks, and some candy along the way.  And I think the girls had fun.

After our train ride, we ate at a very popular place in Heber, called the Dairy Keen.  We call it the Train Burger, because they have a train that rides a track all throughout the restaurant over head.  It was totally packed.  Nothing like I've seen lately.  Crazy, but the food was worth it.

Then today we took the girls out to lunch, and then on to the Living Planet Aquarium, and then for some IceCream.  Since we were there last, they have added the Otters, and Penguins.  They've actually upgraded a lot since we were there last.  I was pretty impressed.

Bree got brave and actually touched a Ray.  Mommy didn't want to touch them :)

Both girls total favorite were the Otters.  We went back a second time to see them, and sat there for quite some time.  Elle was totally into it.  She could have stayed all day.  Overall, a great experience.

Before we left the house today, I had Chris take a picture of my Belly at 26 weeks and 3 days pregnant with Ruby.  I feel huge already, but still have 3 months to go.  We're under 100 days to go now.  95 days left, I think.  A total milestone for sure.  I can't even imagine getting so much bigger!  I hope I can make it.  Of course, I have no choice now :)

More Summer Stuff

I feel a little bit out of it.  I mean, being pregnant makes me tired!  Very tired.  So we've been sticking close to home lately.  I hope my girls aren't lacking for a fun summer.  There are days when I seriously have a hard time getting myself to do anything.  I just want to sit around, or take a nap.  If something requires too much energy, I'm not down with it.  I have been on a cleaning spree.  Trying to declutter, we took a lot of items to the DI last week.  And I am in the process of cleaning out some other closets etc..  There are even a few boxes, we haven't even gotten into since we moved here 2 years ago that need to be cleaned out.

My amazing backyard in the summer time!  I just had to take a few pics, because I love it when all the trees are full and green.  It's a wonderland for the girls.  There is always shade, and we spend a lot of time in the yard.  Yesterday I took the girls to the park.  I wanted them to have something different to do.  It was so hot, and I wasn't comfortable sitting on a picnic table.  We eventually decided to come home, and get out the pool.  The girls cooled off and played in the water, while I sat under a cool shade tree in a much more comfortable chair.  Sometimes I wonder why we go out at all, when everything we need is at our finger tips.  There's no place like home!!

Here the girls are dressed up for church on Sunday.  They just looked so cute!

Our 24th was pretty low key.  I kind of forgot it was even a holiday, since Chris was at work and all.  So that night, we let the girls stay up late and got out some glow sticks, and the rest of the sparklers from our 4th of July fireworks.  We even watched a few of the neighborhood fireworks from our backyard.  They were putting on quite a show for us.  Elle ended up taking a glow stick to bed with her, without my knowledge, and bit into it.  She got stuff all over her bed, and in her mouth.  I thought we got her all cleaned up, but about a half hour later, she threw up all over in her bed.  That glow stick stuff is toxic and I was worried about her.  I'm kind of glad she threw it all up, so that there wasn't anything in her system.  But that wasn't all fun either.  I don't know if it's being pregnant, or what, but I couldn't clean it up.  Chris always does that kind of stuff at our house.  I almost lost it several times myself.  The next day, Chris helped me, or we would have had to throw Elle's pillowcase away.  Totally gross story, I know!

Well, I'm obviously in baby mode.  Yeah, I have 2 kids already, but it's been a little while.  By the time I have this baby, Elle will be a month away from her 5th birthday.  We haven't done the baby stuff, bottles, strollers, diapers in a little while.  And for some odd reason, I'm excited!  Well, I guess I'd better be :)  Since the baby will be in our room at first, I have cleared out a couple of my dresser drawers to put her clothes in.  I have kept all of the girls baby clothes, so I got out the 0 to 3 month stuff and washed them, and put them in the dresser, just the other day.  And today, the girls and I bought some Newborn, diapers, and a few other things.

I feel the baby kicking all day everyday now.  I love it.  I'm trying to enjoy this time, because we know it will be our last.  The last time I have a moving person inside of me.  The last time I wear maternity clothes.  The last time we'll have a baby.  The last time we do this.  I'm trying to enjoy every minute!!!!    So for now, we're just getting ready.  Our sweet Ruby will be here in 3 months.  And we can't wait :)

Summer Stuff

I can't believe how fast the summer is flying by.
A few things this week...

We had a downpour one day for about an hour.  I'm not sure I've ever seen it rain so hard!  Oh how we needed it!  The lawn sure needed it.  I bet we watched it rain for a good half hour.  We opened up our windows, and let the cool fresh air pour through the house.  It was amazing, and wonderful!!

Playing with cousins.   One day we met some cousins at the park for lunch.

And this day, we played with more cousins.  Getting wet, eating lunch, and playing dress up.  I think we wore our little Elle right out.

But today, the girls spent a bit of time in their pool.  Just the 2 of them.  It was relaxing, and fun.

And we had to get a shot of our painted toes and fingers!  We painted nails last night.
Just a little bit of Summer Stuff!

And how could I forget the best news of all?  Monday, we had a Dr. appointment and Ultrasound.  I am 24 weeks along.  25 weeks tomorrow.  We found out we're having another GIRL!  We can't wait to meet our little Ruby Jorgensen!  I'm really excited.  And totally prepared for another girl :)

Our 4th of July 2012 at East Canyon

For the past few years, our traditional 4th of July trip has taken place up at East Canyon Resort, and this year was no different.  There were no Fireworks this year, due to the hot hot weather, and all of the fires in Utah, but we had a really great time, non the less.

My girls were sporting their 4th of July digs.
I just LOVE their boots!

To get into the spirit of things, we decided to let the kids decorate their bikes, and put on our own 4th of July parade around the campground.  We had lots of campers cheering us on, as we passed their trailers.  And we even threw out some candy to sweeten the deal.

We took walks, and played outdoors.

Ready....  get set.... GO!  And even had a few races :)

Campfires, were always fun!  With smores and good conversation.

One day we took advantage of the mini golf course, and tennis courts.  I think everyone had a great time!

And grandpa, gave everyone rides in the Ranger.

There was never a dull moment.  We swam almost everyday, and the kids played at the playground several times a day, and rode their bikes, etc...  It was another fabulous week at East Canyon, and another awesome 4th of July!!
