East Layton Bobcats!

I really love my girls School.
The girls LOVE school, and love their teachers.
I can't believe that the school year is over in a short 5 weeks!
Elle's Kindergarten year is almost done.
The other day Elle said to me, "Mom, I'm not ready for 1st grade".  I said, "Yes you are, you are so smart".  And Elle said, "but I Love Mrs. Hardy and I'm going to miss her".
Now I know why she didn't want to leave Kindergarten.
There are several amazing woman that teach at the girls school and are also in our ward.

A few school highlights from the past few weeks and school year....

Yay for the East Layton Bobcats!!

Bree's 3rd grade Program.  They read aloud and sang songs to the parents.  Ruby, Elle, and I got to go watch Bree with her class.  They held it in the Library, with the whole 3rd grade.  Afterward, we got to stay and eat lunch in the Cafeteria with Bree.

Each year, in each of the girls classes, they are spot lighted for a week.

 Guests and Goodies.
Bree asked Chris to be her guest.  They went early in the morning before school, ate Goodies, and Bree got to show Chris around her class room, and do some reading together.  I met Elle at the end of the day in her class room and Ruby and I were her guests.  Afterward, school was out, and I got to drive the girls home instead of them riding the bus that day.

This past Friday, was the school 5K/Carnival.
I've been sick, so we didn't walk the 5K, but I took the girls to the carnival, where they played games, hung out with friends, got their faces painted, and ate lots of Carnival food.  It started raining, and they had to move stuff inside into the gym.  Thank goodness, it was at the very end.

Today was Elle's Kindergarten field trip to the Ogden Treehouse Museum.
I got pictures of her getting onto the buses, and coming home off the bus.  I couldn't go with, because I wasn't aloud to take Ruby.  But I heard all about her great adventures.  The pics are out of order, but I'm too lazy to fix them.
She said the had a fabulous time!

One fine morning, waiting for the school bus to come take them to school.
Bree and her friends!

Bobcat Club!
When you are a good student, and do something specially great, you are nominated by your teacher for the Bobcat Club.  Bree gets many nominations, and has been in the Club every year.  She has earned both Bobcat Paws for her School Necklace.  And then you get to go play a game with the school Principal.  They always take pictures and send them home too.  Here is Bree's last Bobcat Club Picture.  I remember her saying, that she knew she might be nominated, so she wanted to wear a school T shirt that day just in case :)
I am so proud of the good students that my girls are!  Bree has gotten 100% on every spelling test this year.  Elle is an excellent reader and does amazing Art projects.  They both love school, and love to go every day.

And Finally, we just received the girls Class Pictures for 2014.

Easter Weekend

Other than the fact that two of the girls were sick with colds, and I had to stay home from church with them, our Easter weekend was pretty fun.

Here is Ruby literally coloring her Eggs!
With a marker :)

Bree and Elle had a great time coloring eggs too!

The girls woke up at 6:30 and wanted to go see what the Easter Bunny had brought, but I told them to go back to their room, and come and get us at 7:00.  And you bet, right at 7am, they were back!  We decided to wake up Ruby, because we didn't want her to miss out on all the fun.  And when we opened her bedroom door, she was already awake, and waiting for us.

I got a fantastic little video of Ruby peeking out of her bedroom door, and finding the trail of colorful chocolate eggs that went down the hallway.  So adorable!
The girls found their baskets, full of goodies, and all of the eggs full of candy that the Bunny had left for them.  Then Chris and Bree headed off to church.  I stayed home with the two sick girls.

Then it was time to go to Grandma and Grandpa's for the first BBQ of the season, and another Easter Egg Hunt.  The food was amazing, we had about 4 different salads, Burgers, Dogs, chips, and all the fixin's.  Cousins to play with.  And the kids were totally spoiled by grandpa and grandma.
We left early, because of Ruby's cold.  She was miserable.  As soon as we got in the car, she was fast asleep!   But I love spending time with my family.  Wish we could do stuff like this a lot more often.  Here are a few of the highlights.

Happy Easter! :)

I think Spring is finally here

I think Spring is finally here.
Above:  A picture I took one night as the sun was setting.  There had been rain clouds in the sky, and the sun was casting a warm glow onto one of the trees in our backyard, that has red sprouts.  In the summer the leaves are green, but then once Fall hits, the leaves turn a bright red once more before falling off.  I LOVE this tree, and don't even know what it is exactly.

One of our little family walks, taken in our neighborhood.
The girls decided to ride their bikes.
We found some pretty spring flowers, and enjoyed meandering through the neighborhood.

My girls new Spring/Easter dresses.
Ready for church.

Ruby and I playing in the front yard.
Ruby is walking more and more everyday.  She's been able to walk for a while, but hasn't been confident enough to really do it.  She's finally starting to trust herself.

One of Ruby's favorite places to play!
Under the Kitchen Table...

And Proof that Spring is really finally here.....
The other day I took these pictures in the backyard.  All of our trees are in bloom.

Looking through the Cherry Tree...

 The Plum Tree...

The peach trees have pink blossoms...

And tonight, the girls and I played in the backyard, while Daddy mowed the lawn for the first time this season.  Yes, I think Spring IS finally here :)
