Remodel Update

A little while back, I talked about our home remodel.
We started working on it, at the beginning of the Summer, but then realized, that there wouldn't be enough time or money to do that, and all of our Camping trips at the same time, so we had to put the remodel on hold for a little while.
Now that school has started, etc... I am really excited to get it done.
Not to mention, that once the wood work is done, we can put the saw's and tables away, and Chris can start parking the Car in the garage again.  I want to get this done before it gets cold and snows.
There is no reason to scrape snow off of the car in the early morning hours, when we have a garage right?  And I can't even imagine decorating the house for the holidays, when it's torn apart.
Two reasons, that we need to get this thing done :)

Anyway,  Chris has been working on it this past week, and I love what is happening!!
We are almost done with the wood work.
The entry way, and dining room are getting the same treatment.  The dining room is complete, and the chair rail is up in the entry.  Now we just have to finish the boxes in the entry.
Then we'll be just about done and ready to start prep for painting!
A LOT of painting!

Both Columns that Chris built, and everything from the chair rails to the floor, and all of the trim around the doors and windows, will be white.
Everything else, will be a brown color called, Bread Basket.

More updates to come.  Or maybe just pics when we're done painting.
Then onto, accessorizing!  Curtains, Pillows, new Closet Doors, and I have some special projects, for the family room.

Here are the pics, of Chris' amazing work!

In this picture, do you see the wood on top of the front door?  Well, it was tiny, like above the closet, but we've put new wood up.  And we're going to do that above the two closets, the back deck doors, and over the doorway in the dining room too.  Chris has all of the pieces cut, and now just has to get them up.  I really like it.
After this, all of the wood is done, and we can prep for painting!!

The Temple, Soccer, and First day of School

Three things in this post.
1- On August 13th, we went with my parents to the Ogden Temple Open House.
2- The girls First Soccer Games of the Season
3- The First Day of School

First off, on August 13th we went to the Ogden Temple Open House!
I am so glad that we had this opportunity.  It is so Beautiful, and the feeling inside the Temple, well, is amazing.  But most of all, I wanted my girls to be able to see in the Temple.  And as we walked through the rooms, I was giving the girls a tutorial, about what happens in each room.  Just a general explanation.  Chris mentioned afterward, how happy he was that I was telling the girls about the Temple as we were walking through.  It makes it more real for them.  I want them to have the desire to go to the Temple someday when they are able.
Chris and I were married in the Ogden Temple.
The week surrounding our visit, it was fun to think back on our Wedding Day, just a short 10 years ago.  A lot of wonderful memories of being in the Ogden Temple on our Wedding Day.
I can't wait until it is dedicated, so that we can go back to the Temple and enjoy the blessings of the Ogden Temple!  To spend some time there :)

My awesome parents!

My forever Family!

This past Saturday the girls played their first Soccer games of the Season.
They got up early, and were so cute!  The games overlapped a bit, so I only got to see a small portion of Elle's game.  Good thing there are two parents, so that we can split up once in a while when the games conflict.  Bree just had it in her mind that she wanted to score.  The coach wanted to play her on Defense, but she requested forward.  And wouldn't you know it, she scored a goal!  She is probably going to have to play some defense, sooner or later, but she really had a plan, and made it happen :)

My girls really are the BEST of Friends!  I love how they love each other so much.
Elle ran up to Bree after her game, and gave her this amazing HUG!
They miss each other, whenever one is gone somewhere and the other can't go.

Yesterday was the First Day of School!
My girls just LOVE School.  They couldn't wait.
They were so excited, that Elle got out of bed, twice in the night, because she couldn't sleep.
They even came home all hyper yesterday, and couldn't wait to go back today.
I loved hearing about their first day of school.
And Elle absolutely loves the fact that she gets to eat lunch at school in the lunch room.

Bree age 9, 4th grade.
Elle age 6, 1st grade.

Well, I guess that leaves Ruby and I home alone.
I've got to say, that after 2 days of school, I am loving this concept also.
I love that we don't have anyone in preschool, or kindergarten this year.  No half day, or 2 hours of school.  No dropping off, or picking up, in the middle of the day.  It's so nice!
And Ruby and I have made a pact, to go walking every morning.
I can just put her in the stroller, and we're off.
So for the past two days, I've gotten a really nice morning workout in.  Loving it :)

Today, Ruby helped me pick some tomatoes, before her nap.
And while she sleeps for 2 hours, Mommy has quiet time all to myself!
I am loving it.
Yeah, I cried a bit, because my girls are getting bigger, but there are some bonus' too.

Last Camping trip of the Summer

In some ways I can't believe that the Summer is just about over already.  And in other ways, I am kind of Happy about it.
As the Summer goes on, the lazier I become.
It will be so good to get back on a schedule, of getting up a bit earlier, getting the girls off to school, so they can learn, play with friends, and not be so bored, and for me, finishing our home painting project once and for all, working on scrapbooks, walking on a regular basis again(I hope), etc..etc...

I have this NEED to accomplish some of the things on my to do list.
Things I have had to let slide, so we could go on some Summer Vacations.  Which are awesome, but I can't wait to work on some things that I want to get done.

We just spent another 6 days up at East Canyon.  We took our Kayak over to the Lake and played in the mud, and had a picnic etc... That was probably one of my favorite days.
I was able to find a spot in my trailer, where I got enough Cel Service to look on the Elementary School's website and find out who the girls teachers, for the new school year would be.  And both of the girls got the teachers they were hoping for!  I usually don't request, and let the chips fall where they may.  And I have never been disappointed.

Anyway, I am posting just a few pics from our week.
And I am so looking forward to all of the fun things to come!!!
Fall, painting the house, Halloween Costumes, School, etc..
Both Bree and Elle will be gone a full day this year, as Elle is in First Grade!
So little Ruby and I will be on our own :)
My girls are growing up!  It's exciting and totally not cool, all at the same time.

The girls always make friends where ever they go.
Elle, Taylynn, Bree

Daddy shared his pack of Head Lamps!

The girls new friends from the little store.

Chris, grilling some yummy Burgers for dinner.

And our Day trip to the Reservoir.
The water is really low, so it was a bit of a walk from the car to the beach.
I had to laugh, because of Chris and I trying to carry the stroller over a rocky reef to the beach.
It was an adventure! :)

I love our Kayak!  We seriously have to get another.
