Today was kind of our last official day of summer. I mean we have a 3 day weekend, but school starts on Tuesday! Bree is so ready for school. All of her cousins are already back to school, and she's been counting down the days. And this morning, I was reading a post on Facebook of one of my friends back East, and how they were going swimming, and thought, yeah why not us too! I mean, this is our last chance to do something super fun. I got up early this morning, and was so tired, that all I wanted to do was take a nap. But I knew I needed to do something for the girls :) So off we went to get some Subway, and do some swimming at the wave pool. The girls had a fantastic day, and I'm so glad we went. Even though we went alone and I was a bit nervous about that.

The new Car Seat
The new Car Seat Came today!
I guess there are a few things you can't save forever. They do expire...
Car Seats, binkies, and bottle nipples. To name a few.
So even though Ruby will have a lot of beautiful, hand me down baby clothes,
she will have a few things that are just her own.
And it's PINK!!

The past couple of days adventures....
We still have a whole week until the girls go back to school. Chris took Thursday and Friday off work to hang out with us. And on Thursday, we went to the Brigham City Temple open house with some of my family.
We watched a short film on Temples before we went in.
When we got to the station where they put booties on your feet, both my girls freaked out, and Elle was crying. It was super fun! ha..ha.. Chris ended up carrying her through the whole temple. It was so very hot, and he was drenched when we were done. But, being 30 weeks pregnant, I think I was just as hot, or maybe even hotter! There were a lot of stairs, and I was pooped.
My brother's family! They are so cute!!
Some of the cousins by the fountain.
Natalie, Elle, Libby, Bree, Gage, and Kayla.
Our little family.
The temple was beautiful! Kind of a tiny temple, but really wonderful. After the temple, we went back to my brother's house for takeout Chinese food. It was so yummy!! I haven't had Chinese in a while. We kind of celebrated my Mom's birthday too. It was a good experience. I'm glad my girls had the opportunity to see the Temple :)
Then yesterday, we drove up to Soapstone in the Uintah's. Chris' family is camping there and we went up for the day to picnic and so that the girls could ride the 4 wheeler with Chris.
I couldn't believe the temperature difference!! Amazing. It was only 68 degrees. There was a cool breeze the whole time. I actually got so cold at one point, that my back started aching, and I had to get inside to warm up. A real difference from our 90 degree heat in the city! Amazing that it felt like Fall already. I wore a fleece jacket all day.
We took a little walk up the hill to a small pond. The girls tromped all around with grandma, finding bullet shells, bottle caps, etc... Making collections of everything they found. And don't forget the pretty rocks too. The girls went on a couple of rides with Daddy on the 4 wheeler. There was one area, where there were some up and downs, and sideways hills to ride, like motocross! Bree came back to camp, so excited and telling me all about it! The girls did NOT want to go home. They wished we were camping too! But mommy just isn't sleeping well these days, and my own bed at home sounds so much more appealing right about now :) Next summer will be different. I keep telling myself. We'll make up for it. When I'm not pregnant. But for now, our little day trip was so much fun.
And as we were starting our drive home, I took a few pics, of these beautiful Utah Mountains! Wow, we live in such a wonderful place, with beauty all around us. So many wonderful things to do, all year round. Oh amazing!!

While everyone else starts school....
While everyone else is starting school, we still have 2 weeks until school starts. It's been so hot that we haven't wanted to go outside hardly at all. But last night, while Daddy mowed the lawn, the girls and I spent a couple of hours out in the backyard. It was really nice to be outside. It wasn't hot, and there was even a nice breeze blowing. The girls blew bubbles, ran around, played on the swings, etc... I must admit, that I can't wait for Fall and some cooler weather. This summer has just been way too HOT! I might even be in the mood for some SNOW :)
