October was so busy for us this year.
I just wanted to post a few things.
One day, on my way home from the store, I stopped and took a few pictures with my cel phone. I am a picture taker. If I could take scenic pictures for a living, I would.
I love pictures!
I happened to snow on the mountain tops over night, and there were still so many pretty fall colors all over. It kinda stopped me in my tracks.
Bree had a couple of concerts in October.
Her school had a Fundraiser concert for the Art Departments.
The Band, Choir, Orchestra, and Theater Dept. all performed.
The students wore costumes.
Bree and her band Teacher Mrs. Wolf, just happened to wear Pirate Costumes!
Her second Band Concert, was the Fall Concert for this year.
The kids are sounding amazing!!
This is Bree's last year of Jr. High. and she is in the Symphonic Band.
We always decorate for HALLOWEEN as it's one of my favorite Holidays!
And for the past two years, we've kind of gone a new route, and I've bought a bunch of smaller pumpkins, and we painted them.
That way I don't have to worry about a bunch of sharp knives.
Yeah, it might be fun to carve again sometime, but painting is super fun too!
Ruby had a cute Halloween Program at school.
The funny thing is...... that I got there really early to get a good seat. And it was packed! I'm talking body to body. People standing etc... And when they came in and onto the steps of the stage, Ruby's teacher was right in front of her, and holding up papers in front of her face most of the time. It was so disheartening! I was bummed! And there was literally nowhere I could move to. But, it was still a cute program, and I managed to get a couple of good pictures, in between things.
I also went on a field trip with Ruby's class to the Farm. They got to play in the Corn Box, Slides, and Hay Maze, learn about growing pumpkins and all of the different kinds, and Pick out their very own pumpkin to take home! It was so much fun. I just love all the little kids, and I love spending time with Ruby.
Until now, I've always had another little one at home, so I wasn't able to go volunteer with the older girls as much. One year, I had Chris take off work 2 days, so that I could go on a field trip with each of the other girls that Year. But now that they are all in school a full day, I am able to go volunteer a lot more, and I Love it!!
And then, I went back to school, and helped with Ruby's class Halloween Party!
I ran a Monster Bean Bag toss.
There were games, books, crafts, treats, treats, and did I mention the treats?! Ha.ha.
Again, so much fun!
Bree also had the opportunity to play in the Layton High School Pep Band at one of the football games. They were given Band shirts. It was a super COLD night! In fact, Bree's band teacher called it early, and they were able to leave before the game ended. Everyone's hands and instruments were frozen. But, Bree took some pictures and video's and sent them to me. I did get a picture of Bree and her friend Kira when I dropped them off. Bree said it was a blast!
I did the same thing when I was in High school, so I totally get it.
Every year, the Jorgensen's have a Halloween Party!
All of Chris's SEVEN sisters, mom, and nieces DANCE. Or teach dance or gymnastics.
So instead of the costume parade this year, they made up a dance to THRILLER, and kind of filmed it on an iPhone, and edited it, and we watched it at the end of the party! It was a hoot.
There are always games, and a ton of good food too!
Then of course, Halloween Night!
This could be the last time we Trick or Treat in my mom's neighborhood.
She built a new house, and is moving.
We had yummy warm soups, and rolls, and then went out to trick or treat!
As you can see.... October was filled with fun! We also went to Lagoon Frightmares with cousins. But that has to be a post of it's own :)
Happy October!!
