Catch up!

So I am still behind on blog posts, but here are some happenings, in an attempt to get a bit more caught up.

One day while the kids were out of school, we met up with cousin Kayla, and went to the Ogden Tree House Museum.  I was very impressed.  We will definitely be going back.  The girls had a blast.  It was hard to keep up with them running from place to place in an attempt to see it all!

At one point Bree had lost all 4 of her front teeth!  She was pretty much all Gums!  So you know the song, all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.  Well, we changed it to four front teeth :)

Our Valentines decorations!

After one of our snow storms, while the haze was cleared out and there was a bit of fresh air, I went walking, in an attempt to start exercising again, after a year of being pregnant and doing nothing.

Our walk to the bus stop one morning after an amazing little snow storm.

My new Favorite Recipe!  Minestrone Soup.  This soup is seriously one of Chris and my new favorite dishes, and we will be making this on a regular basis.  It is Seriously Scrumptious!

One morning we woke up to the most beautiful new Snow!  I had the girls stand on the front porch before heading off to school, to capture it.  I think my girls are so beautiful, and so is the snow!

It seems like every time I go to the grocery store these days, Bree is at school, and I am with Elle and Ruby.  I think Bree feels left out sometimes, because she's not with us, when we buy treats, and she always hears about our adventures later on.  But this day, she was out of school, and I actually took all three girls to the grocery store with me.  They have these new fancy carts with two kid seats.  So all three girls actually got to ride on the cart!  When I look at Bree's face in this picture, it just melts my heart, because I know how much this little trip to the store meant to her!  Priceless!!!

An Omelet I made one morning.  I LOVE eggs.  And this was sooooo good :)

A picture of the back of Ruby's head.  I wanted to capture her cute little Raspberry birthmark, before hair grows over it, and we can no longer see it!  I love it.  I guess I had one at the nape of my neck, when I was a baby.

I think this is the first picture and maybe the only picture I have of my Mom and all three girls.

A birthday present to me, from my mom.  New bathroom carpets, and towels.  Love it!

A few pics from Ruby's blessing day.  It was a wonderful day.  Chris did such a good job on her blessing.  I had many conversations with our awesome ward members, and lots of amazing family over to the house afterward to celebrate.

I bought this Blessing Dress for Bree.  And all three of my girls have worn it on their blessing days!

My parents and Ruby.

Chris' Mom Lois, and Ruby.

One day we baked in the Easy Bake Oven, that Bree got for Christmas.  The girls were so excited to present their cupcakes to Daddy when he got home from work.

All dressed and ready for Church :)

Elle, singing songs to Ruby.

A fabulous shot of the sunset that I captured one evening from my front porch, a couple of weeks ago.

Ruby's first time in this toy.  Sitting up and playing.
And these are just a few of the things we've been up to lately.....

Skirts

I Love Pinterest!  I get so many good ideas from it.  I would love to have time to try most everything I've pinned, and considering I still have half my life time, hopefully I'll have a chance to get to a lot of it.  A while back, I pinned a really cute skirt Tutorial.  No pattern, just measure, and sew.  It has pictures and some really good instructions.  These skirts are probably the easiest thing I've ever sewn.  I have had some really fun fabric sitting in my closet for a while now.  And since Spring will be coming soon (I hope),  I thought I'd make some fun skirts for the girls!  And you can seriously make these in an hour or two.  Easy Peasy!!  I think they just might get more than one :)

New Years 2012/2013

I've always partied on New Years Eve.  When I was younger, I would even invite my friends over to my parents house to play games, do puzzles, watch movies, eat good food, etc... while waiting for the stoke of Midnight.  And then, once the clock stuck twelve, we would run out onto the front porch with our whistles, horns, pots and pans, or whatever else we could find, and make as much noise as we could.  Shouting Happy New Year to anyone who could hear us!

Well, times have changed, just a bit.  Ruby obviously retired way before midnight, but Bree and Elle now think it's way fun, that they actually get to stay up so super late!  And they are old enough, that they pretty much make it to midnight now.

We try to make it fun for the girls.  We got out our shuffle board game, and some other games, and had some quality time with our little family.

And we ate as much junk food as humanly possible for one night!

And when the ball dropped in Times Square in New York, we watched it on TV and then even had some poppers on hand to celebrate the occasion!  And then, it was off to bed :)  ha..ha..

Just a few fun pics....

Here are just a few pictures I took that I thought were kind of cool.
I LOVE those holiday lights :)

Christmas 2012

The decorations are up :)

The girls made Ginger Bread Houses!

We went to see lights several times.  At Thanksgiving Point, in Layton, in Ogden, at the SLC Temple.
I love the lights!!

I took this picture of the Temple on our way to the Motab Christmas Concert.  The Concert was amazing as usual, and the lights were just as beautiful :)

We met our cousins in Ogden, at the Ogden Village Lights.  This is one of my favorite traditions.  And afterward, we go to my mom's for dinner and hot chocolate.

Waiting to see Santa!

Santa just loved Ruby!  He thought she was something else.  And I totally agree :)

My girls, and Santa :)

The cousins and Santa!  Santa was a good sport :)

Grandma Bump Bumps house!  Uncle Mark goes all out when it comes to Christmas Lights!

My girls in front of our Tree.  This picture turned out cuter than I ever could have imagined when I took it.  These three little gems are my life!  Ruby's first Christmas :)

Looks like Santa came :)  He doesn't disappoint!
