Our Date

Last night Chris and I went on a date :) It's been a while since we've been out. We've never had anyone watch our kids except for out moms. Well, when Chris' mom is very busy, and my mom lives an hour away, we really don't get to go out too much. Last night was the first time we've ever called a sitter. We were only gone for a couple of hours and everything worked out great.

It was nice to actually get to sit in a Restaurant without kids climbing around, crying, pulling things off the table, etc..etc.. Chris and I actually had a great conversation about a whole lot of things, without someone saying, "Mommy, Mommy", through the whole thing as well. An un-interrupted conversation, WOW!

One of my grandma's hasn't been doing well. It's only a matter of time before she's not with us anymore. Sometimes I hope it will be a long matter of time, but then when I think about the quality of life that you live by the time you're turning 90 in a month and a half, well..... I still hope she's around for a long time :)
At any rate, it still makes me cry. It doesn't matter if it's their time to go, I'll still miss her terribly. With my Aunts and Uncles coming to clean out her house, so that it can be sold, it's just one of the many issues, Chris and I had time to talk about.

I've been feeling so great full lately, that I get to be a stay at home Mom. Although it's hard, and sometimes I wish I had more time to myself, I just love being with these sweet little girls :) I love cleaning our house, and making dinner, and taking Bree to school. I just love doing things to help my little family. The endless Kisses and Hugs that my children have to endure, are just one way I really enjoy them. YES, they are mauled to death! And I LOVE it!!

I'm so great full for eternal families! I'm so glad that I will never have to say goodby :)

Hmm, I'm in a mood :) And I can't find my Cel Phone today, Arg!

Life is so interesting. I know that my whole perspective changed when I almost lost my Dad this summer. It was like the world shifted and I started feeling things differently and seeing the world through new eyes. It made me so glad that I am home with my girls every day! I soak up the minutes and try not to wish them away. I feel my love for them more deeply. Families are really the best thing in the whole world. Being a mom is indescribable.

I am sad for Helen as well. We poked our heads in at her house to say hello to the aunts. It was fun to see them for a bit. I am sure this is an emotional weekend for all.

Glad you got to go on a date! SOOOOO Fun!

I loved your words! This week grandma is staying at a wonderful "resort" for the elderly and tonight there is a bar-b-que there. We are all going to eat and spend time with her (Dana and her family- Joe and our family) and we will send her your love. I wish I could have come down with my mom just to say hi and see you...long drive and school for the kids...but we will be coming in April to take Spencer to general conference. We should hook up.

Anyway, we love and miss you so much. I am also in love with being with my kids each and every day. There is no blessing like it.

Oh yeah, you totally need dates when you have small children! I don't take my kids EVER when we go to a sit down dinner because I know it can't be enjoyed and other people would be bothered! Isn't Jaci wonderful?
