Elliptical Update

Well, we thought we had found a good one. Come to find out, it's not so good. Chris put it together, and within about 10 minutes, it started to squeak! He called the manufactures and they told him several things to do, but to no avail. So, tomorrow we take it back! Ug! But, today, we found another, that costs about double, but it is a much better machine, and on the low end of a Commercial Machine. I think this will work out for the best. I guess you get what you pay for. I can't wait to get exercising again!!!

Wendi,

We ended up with a Nautilus. I LOVE it! I worked out on it for the first time yesterday, and with my eating etc.. I lost almost 2 pounds yesterday! It was originally 2700.00, but it was pre-owned, and never used for a few months, so we got it for 1200.00. It's a seriously awesome machine. So smooth, and quiet, with tons of programs :)

I think that we need a new eliptical. The one that we have is a Nordic Track and Randy has used it to DEATH! It squeaks and thumps and I think it's actually starting to fall apart. Any recommendations on where to find one for not much money? I have lost 14 pounds. It's so exciting! I went hiking with Randy at Zions. We went to the beginning of the Narrows and played in the river with the kids. I lost 2 pounds that day!

Awesome Trish!!

Our old Elliptical we bought from one of those used gym equipment stores. We only spent 400.00 for it. It lasted for about 4 years. It thumped and made funny noises, and then all of a sudden one whole arm just fell off. It started making the noises, as it was falling apart.

I Seriously think you should buy new if you can. At least that way, you get the warranties and the service program. If you plan on using it everyday like we both do, you need to get a better one, not just a cheap one. It stinks to pay all that money, but it is SO WORTH every penny! Exercise has become so important to me, that even though we don't have a lot of money right now, this was a priority for us.
