The past few weeks

I haven't blogged for a while, thinking that there hasn't been much going on, but we must be filling our days with something.  And if nothing is going on, why am I tired at the end of everyday?  So I realized, that I've been taking a lot of little pictures on my phone.  And finally decided to put them on the computer.  This blog is just a little update on our past few weeks....

Ruby has been taking her baths in the big tub now.  No more baby bath!  I can't believe how fast she is growing and how big she is getting.  A few weeks back, I actually took a huge tub and I mean HUGE tub of baby clothes to the D.I.!!  I've never done that before.  Not since I started having kids.  I've saved everything.  Every time Ruby grows into the next size, we just go to the basement, and get a tub of clothes, that are the next size up.  I have clothes from Bree and Elle.  She has a serious collection of super cute things.  It almost made me sick to get rid of the tiny things, but she is our last, and there is no reason to store them anymore.  Yeah, I even cried.  Well, you know how it is.....

For the past 3 years, I have been staring at the most hideous curtains in our living room, left by the previous owners of our home.  And one day just recently it dawned on me, that I had brought the curtains from our other home.  The ones I had ordered to match our furniture.  Duh!  So I got them out and hung them up!  One of these days, we're going to paint, and make new curtains, and give this place a facelift.  But for now, these will have to do.  I think they are a hundred times better than the blah green ones that have been hanging up for way too long :)

Just a little BBQ at grandma's for my brothers Birthday.  A small group this time.  Not the whole family.  But a lot of fun to just relax and play with cousins.  And Ruby got some grandma time :)

I walk my girls to the bus everyday, and pick them up.  I know the bus stop is only 1 house away, on the corner.  But These girls are precious to me, and I want to be there!

Bree waiting for the bus one morning!

Elle having some lunch before afternoon Kindergarten!

Ruby and I waiting for the girls to get home on the bus!

Yay, Sisters are HOME!

Bree is such a good Big Sister!  She loves to sit and play with Ruby on her lap.  She'll fetch diapers for us when we need them, and gets Ruby out of trouble and gives her toys.

It's Soccer Season.  And a couple of weeks ago, we seriously played in a mini Monsoon!  I haven't seen it rain that hard in a long time, and we played right through it.  By the time we got home, we were soaked all the way through head to toe.  We could have all jumped in a pool with our clothes on.  Even my shoes and socks were wet all the way through.  Good times!!

Precious time spent in the backyard playing with Ruby, while Daddy mows the lawn.  Again, most of her toys, including this cute little car are hand me downs, but she is over joyed to have them!!!

Yummy Dinners!!  Pork Chops on the BBQ Grill, Baked Potatoes, and Corn.
I LOVE good food.  A little too much I think :)

The evening sun shining through the trees into the backyard.  So peaceful.  Our little slice of heaven on earth.

You know, I never really thought about it before, but my brother Dax mentioned once, that he had heard, there was a lot of farm land in Layton.  And I guess he's right.  This field is just down the road from my house, on my way to the store.  I pass it almost everyday.  In fact there are a ton of sod farms, and other fields all around.  And a field of sheep and Lamas, about a block from where I took this picture.  What a beautiful place I live in!!!  Amazing :)

A tired baby :)  I remember when we brought Ruby home from the hospital, and at 4lbs, she was almost too small for the car seat.  And now her feet are hanging out!  What?  I almost don't even have the words for how much we adore this sweet little thing!  Everyday Chris and I look at each other in amazement!  We are so blessed to have 3 wonderful girls.

Halloween is coming!  And my girls have changed their minds a couple of times, but finally decided that they wanted to be witches this year.  I thought about actually making costumes this year, but went the easy route once again.  Bree wanted her's to be Purple and Black, and more scary, and Elle wanted her's to be Sparkly.  And there are sparkles all over the green on her dress, and her broomstick.  Of course they had to try them on.  And now, we'll just be waiting for Halloween :)  I'll have to get much better pics and with their little Pumpkin sister too!

So my amazing neighbor next door, told me she had a playhouse if we wanted it.  It's practically brand new!  Amazing!!  She has also given me some bottling jars recently.  I sure LOVE my neighbors.  It's always nice to live next to amazing people :)  Thanks Ruth and Art Nielson!!  We love it.

Ruby has figured out how to crawl.  And now she wants to climb a little.  No walking just yet.  She is into everything!!!  I am constantly getting her out of things.  For this reason, our Christmas Tree will be put in the basement this year.  Ruby's Birthday is in 3 days!!!!  Ahhhhh... I seriously can't believe it.

Ruby and I have been walking a lot lately too!  I've been getting a lot of steps on my fitbit.  We go out almost everyday, and walk for 45 min. to an hour.  She loves it, and I love it too.  Fresh air, and Ruby loves to ride in the stroller.  Gives us something to do each day together, and it's good exercise for me.  We have to get in as many great walks as we can before the snow flies this Winter!

And finally, I'm working on a Cross Stitch right now.  I got it before Ruby was born, but sometimes, months will go by, and I won't even work on it.  And it takes hours to complete stuff.  But I'm addicted, and working on it a lot right now.  I have vowed to finish it.

This is what it will look like when it's all done.

Her is my progress.....

We're getting there.....
