A week or so ago, the girls brought home their Class and Spring, school pictures.
I just LOVE how they turned out!
I just wished I had thought to take Ruby to the school and have her pictures taken too.
Elle's 1st grade Class
I love that Elle still has her cast on in this picture.
Memories....
Bree's 4th grade class
Bree is looking so grown up!
Last week, Elle's class had a field trip, to the Utah State Botanical Farm.
It's right here close to home in Kaysville.
I thought it was very interesting, to learn about growing food and animals to eat, and clothe us.
I don't know how much the kids really took in, but it was interesting to me, that here in the good old U.S.A. the quality of food we grow is superior, and yet, because of politics, and money, we tend to buy a lot of food from other countries.
The kids got to see some baby animals, and eat some string cheese.
They learned about soil, beef, etc...
Even though it was a short 5 to 10 minutes on the bus, it was so loud, and I almost got car sick!
That was also, an interesting experience :)
I don't usually volunteer in the girls classes, or get to go on field trips, because I have Ruby at home, and we're not aloud to bring siblings along, but the girls really wanted me to come and do something, so Chris gladly took some time off work, so that I could go to a field trip for each girl, which just happened to be exactly a week apart.
I'm so glad, my girls love me as much as I love them!
They were just so excited to have me along!
The four kids I had to keep track of.
Let me tell you, it was tough keeping my eye on each of them.
1st graders are FAST!!!
String Cheese comes from Cows!
There are many different kinds of Cows, and each produces different kinds of milk and cheese.
And finally, Bree's field Trip.
We went to SLC, to This is the Place state park.
We were only there for a few hours.
There is so much to do, and everything is so spread out.
Our group was only able to do 3 activities.
I think I'm going to have to take my little family back, so that we can experience all of it.
I was nervous about the long bus ride, because of my experience on Elle's field trip, but I got to sit in the front of the bus, with lots of windows, and the 4th graders, were so much more well behaved. Quieter, mostly just talking amongst themselves. I actually enjoyed the bus ride this time :)
Ready to Go!
The girls I had to keep track of...
Mersadie, Vicki, Ziz, and Bree
A little Train Tour.
Handcarts!
Grinding Corn into flour, like the Indians.
The whole class didn't even grind enough for one meal.
What hard work!
Going to the buses to go home.

Looks like lots of fun school activities! I bet your girls loved having you join them on their field trips. It is always nice to have mamma along.
Their school pictures are definitely adorable. We love This is the Place park. Did you get to go into the school house? That's my favorite. Fun times for sure.
