December! Elle's Birthday, Festival of Trees, etc...

It's December now, and so much is happening!

Elle's Birthday on December 1st.
The girls love playing in the snow.
Bree's Choir performs at the Festival of Tree's.

Of course, as tradition, the girls got matching PJ's on Thanksgiving.
I always take a picture of them in front of the Tree with their new Pajama's.

Elle turned 9 on December 1st!
It's so hard to get everyone together these days, so we just had grandma, and grandpa come over for dinner and cake, and then Elle actually had to run off to her gymnastics class!

Oh yeah, and we try and decorate the girls bedroom doors, the night before while they are asleep, so that on the morning of their Birthday, they are surprised!

We had all of Elle's favorite foods.  Fresh sub sandwiches, Macaroni Salad, Vegi Tray with ranch, Chips, drinks, and of course, cake and IceCream.

I've been trying to make homemade cakes the past couple of years.
They taste so much better and don't cost as much, but I'm not very good at decorating.
Ah well, they come from the heart.
And I get to use my super cute cake carrier too :)

Birthday Presents

Grandma, grandpa, and the girls!

I remember Elle saying, that she was so happy with all of her gifts, and that she got everything she could ever want for her Birthday.  Then she said that she couldn't think of even 1 thing to ask Santa for, for Christmas!
P.S.  She got a card in the mail from grandma Bump which had 20 dollars in it.  One day when we were walking through Costco, she found an amazing new snow sled, and used her Birthday money to buy it.

The girls LOVE to play out in the snow!
There are many nights, when I can't get them to come in.
I am so happy that they enjoy the outdoors so much.  Just like their Mom.

Bree's school Choir performs about 7 times each year.
One of the performances is at the Festival of Trees!  I love it.  It's my favorite, and love going down, and looking through the amazing Tree's, Quilts, Wreaths, and Gingerbread Houses.
So many wonderful festive ideas.
This year, I bought Bree and Candy neckless at the festival, while she was with her group waiting to go on, and gave it to her after she performed.

Grandma Bump, Cousin Roy, and Aunt and Uncle Randy and Maurene came and saw Bree perform, and walked through all the trees with us.  Afterward, we all went to Blackbear diner for some Chow!

There is so much fun food, candy, crafty stuff, and just boutique stuff to buy.
I saw this sled made of Candy, and it was calling my name. :)

The girls got tattoos on their faces, stood in a giant bubble, made snow globes, went fishing for prizes, called santa, etc..etc... over in the kids corner!  The really have so much fun stuff to do!

Three of my favorite Gingerbread houses this year.

Ruby fishing....
