We've been spending a lot more time out doors lately. We have 14 trees in our yard. And I didn't realize, that the fruit trees, and the trees in our front yard all blossom. It's really cool. We moved in at the end of May last year. But I think we had so much going on with the move, that I missed the first part of Spring. There are pretty flowers everywhere, and I thought I would just share.

Kindergarten is almost over
Today when I pulled some papers out of Bree's backpack, I pulled out the last Calendar of the school year.. May! Wow, I can't believe how this year has flown by! Seriously, I can't believe that by the end of the month, Bree will be done with Kindergarten.
It's been fun to watch her learn. Bree has had the most amazing Teacher. We just put in an order for her little year book.
Bree is a little worried about going a full day next year. But I think she's going to have fun eating lunch at school, and she's talking me into letting her riding the bus!
I took these cute pics, one morning last week, before school. She is getting so big :)

Easter Weekend
We had a really good Easter Weekend. We colored Eggs, went to a little graduation/birthday party, worked in the yard, the Easter Bunny came, and I had one of the worst colds of the entire year. Pretty productive wouldn't you say? Hmmm, I don't know. But it was fun. My pictures are a little out of order, but what can I say. Oh yeah, and I stayed home from church today because of my enormously horrible cold, but my parents came over and brought dinner, and it was wonderful to spend time with them, and not to have to cook :)
The girls Easter Digs!
They got a few little toys....an Easter Polly Pocket, a Hula Hoop, a summer outfit and little dolls with a matching outfit, a beach ball, and a couple of Easter books. Not to mention lots and lots of CHOCOLATE!
She has been Hula Hooping for 2 days straight now, and is a complete expert! (almost) She can even do hers and Elle's at the same time. Yes, she can work 2 Hula Hoops together. Amazing, what a day of practice can do!!!

On Saturday, I did a lot of sleeping, and pretty much nothing. While Chris edged and mowed our entire yard. The girls played outside most of the day. I sat and watched Chris, and pushed the girls on the swings. But I'm telling you, this cold has been a doozy!
While we were outside, Bree said to me "Mom, our yard is huge! I don't ever want to move!!" Well, she doesn't have to worry about moving again. Because we LOVE LOVE LOVE our home, and are here to stay :)

Even after all of the yard work, Chris pulled out the BBQ Grill, and grilled the first steaks of the Spring Season.
And these pictures probably should have been at the beginning of this post, but at least they made it in the post :) Coloring our Easter Eggs. I boiled 3 dozen, but the girls kept dropping and cracking them. They both ended up with about 12 Eggs each. A lot I know, but I figure, if you're going to go to all the trouble of coloring Eggs, you might as well make it worth it!

Chris and I got one Egg Each :)

We also made it over to my sister's house this weekend, for a Birthday/Graduation party. My brother in law just graduated from Weber State University with his degree in Engineering! A tough one, and he is the 1st person in his entire family to graduate from College, so way to go Doug!!! And Happy Birthday to my sister Jen!
Chris went to Church without us girls today. He taught a combined Young Men's lesson on resisting temptations. The Bishop and one of his counselors sat in on his lesson. I know it was a good one, because I know how great my husband is. And I'm just glad it was my off week of teaching so that I didn't have to go to church with my cold. Then my parents called, and came over with some lunch and spent some time with us. I was really excited for a super yummy lunch, that I didn't have to fix :) Seriously, my Mom has no idea how much I love that they came over today!!!

Growing up is so hard
Sometimes growing up is so hard!
This morning I woke up at 9:30. And as I was waking up wondering how I slept that long, and why no little people had come in to wake me up, I realized that I could hear my two little girls in the basement, laughing and playing together as best friends and sisters. I guess they were having such a great time, that there was no need to involve me.
But once it was time for us to take Bree to school, Elle disappeared and returned with her little back pack. Ok Mom, I'm ready to go. Well, we were all smiles, until it was time to drop Bree off, and Elle had to head home with me. She was so sad and disappointed, that she cried all the way home. I'm sure she was thinking that it's just not fair that Bree gets to go to school and I don't.
Then this afternoon, after we got home, and were sitting at the kitchen table, enjoying our Subway Sandwiches, the doorbell rang. Who could that be. Oh, Bree's little friend from down the street. She wanted to know if Bree could go play at her house. Elle was so excited to see a new friend to play with. While Bree was getting ready to go, Elle stood and talked to Belle for the longest time. I'm sure she couldn't wait to see what fun they were all going to have. So when Bree and Belle headed out the front door without her, she was crushed! She stood at the front door crying and crying.
Gosh, that's twice in one day, that the little sister has been left out! I felt so bad. Elle wants to do everything that Bree is doing. She wants to play with her, wear the same clothes, have the same toys, etc.. etc...
Except for going potty! he..he.. Now that's another story in itself. Every time I ask Elle about going potty, she says, oh no, not me, just Bree. Well, we'll see about that soon enough. :)
Here is the little Rock Star!

Mumblings....
I was reading some of my friends blogs today. Some of them happy, some not so happy. We are each going through life, and sometimes it's awesome, and sometimes it's challenging. That's just the way life is.
One of my friends just seems to have it all together! She is young...(just turned 30) skinny, happy, has 2 children, and is pregnant with a 3rd. Man, I kind of wish I was her right now. I was just thinking that I didn't even get married until I was 32. And this friend is going to have 3 babies by age 30!
Another friend is going through a house renovation. Trying to get their house ready to put on the market. House a mess, life turned upside down. Oh man, been there....done that! A very stressful time in life.
I've been just hanging on lately. There are so many things I would love to change in my own life. But aren't we all working daily to be the best we can be. I am so blessed! I have the most amazing husband on the planet!! And two of the most beautiful, sweet little girls ever!! And I wouldn't trade them for anything. Even if I did have to wait longer to have them in my life. What a wonderful life it is :) Now if I could just make a few changes, tweaks, and loose a few pounds! ha..ha..
This is a picture of my two sweet grandmas! I LOVE them both so much! One is already 90 years old, and the other is turning 90 this month! Amazing!! I am so lucky to have wonderful relationships with these fabulous women. I guess one of the perks of being single for so long, is that I got to spend some quality time with my grandmas. One lives an hour away, and I would go spend weekends with her and my grandpa. We would talk and they would feed me. I would learn things about them. Wonderful things!! The other lived right around the corner most of my life. She would stay up late, so I knew that I could run over after work, and watch some TV with her, and talk to her. I didn't realize how good I had it, being so close to her. Now that she's far away, I miss being able to just run over and see her whenever I want to. Bummer!! Now I know how it was for the rest of my cousins who lived in other states.
Anyway, just wanted to wish my grandma a Happy 90th Birthday this month!! Such cute little ladies....don't you think!

Spring IS Coming....(I hope)
Despite the fact, that it pretty much snows just about every other day, Spring IS trying to come! We spent a good portion of our Saturday out in the backyard. Putting the Snowmobile away, trimming the Plum Tree, and fertilizing the lawn.
Just look at one of our trees! The blossoms are RED :) The Bee's have been buzzing around, getting this tree ready for summer. Bree is like me....hates bugs, and bee's, so we didn't want to tell her there were a lot of Bee's in this tree. Doing their thing, so that spring and summer would be beautiful!

Warm day and Dino Park
Lucky us!! We got to spend some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa at Ogden's Eccles Dinosaur Park today. We bought a seasons pass, and it's a good thing, because the girls didn't want to leave, and I kept telling them that we could come back as much as we wanted all year long. Grandpa packed us a lunch. And it was so warm out. Okay it said 71 degrees in the truck, but to us that's like summer right now :) Light jackets, and sometimes none at all. Here are a few highlights from our day. I loved today!!
