No Training Wheels!

Tonight Bree rode her bike without the training wheels for the first time!  As a mom, I've been a little scared to let her try.  I mean, what if she has a major fall or something?  But, when we were at East Canyon last weekend camping with cousins, my brother told us a few secrets!  Take the pedals off, and just let her coast around, getting the feel for balancing all on her own.  Bree has done this for 4 days, and then today we put the pedals back on her bike, and she just took off.  As if she had always been riding!  Totally amazing!!!  I'm seriously grateful for my brothers awesome tips.  It wasn't even hard or scary for her.  And I didn't have to run behind her hanging on for dear life, trying to get her to do it.  Amazing, simply amazing!!

Bree is so excited!  She is loving riding her bike!

Little sister likes to ride with Bree too!

My New Nephew!

Tonight I went to see my new little Nephew and my sister Camber at the hospital.  Big brother Kycen and Cory (the Dad), were there also.  Kycen is a little jealous of all the attention that the new baby is getting.  But Camber tried to snuggle him as much as possible!

While I was gone, my family played Hungry Hungry Hippos!  Among other things :)

Ryden Lee Wallberg,  born on Monday, May 14th at 3:25am.  Weighing 7lbs 3.5oz, and 19.5 inches long.  Isn't he so super cute!

I think he and his big brother Kycen have the same cute noses!  They are going to be such cute brothers and best friends!!

Mother's Day Weekend

We finally took our trailer out on it's maiden voyage of the summer this weekend.  We spent our weekend at East Canyon.  One of our favorite destinations.  My brother Cord and his family came along also.  The girls just loved having some cousins to play with!  We had a campfire every night, and roasted marshmellows, and ate smores.  We rode our bikes.  We played some tennis.  We actually swam in the pool.  Had some fabulous food, and so much more.  It was a lot of fun to get away.

Here is Bree doing the splits underwater :)

Elle, Bree, Natalie, and Libby.

Grandma and Grandpa came up the first night to enjoy dinner and a campfire with us!

Bree was impressed by Libby's bike riding skills.  She is now practicing without her training wheels.  I don't think it will be long, until she can do it!

Elle and Natalie in the hammock!  Having fun :)

The only picture I took of myself all weekend.  Yes, I WAS there!!  ha..ha..

The girls got new tennis racquets.  Daddy is going to teach them to play this summer!

Gage's new Cheese for the camera!!

And after all the kids were done, the big boys got to play some real tennis! :)

Getting tickled!!

Playing with toys in the trailer...

Bath time in the trailer :)

Just chillaxin' in the trailer....

Funny stuff....  Last year, while camped at East Canyon, they came around and made these great little pads for everyone's fire pits.  My mom, such a rebel, carved my 2 girls initials in the new cement.  We stay in this spot pretty regularly, so when we saw the initials, we just had to laugh!

And finally, a Mother's Day Feast!  Yesterday on Mother's Day, we rushed home from camping, so we could head down to Chris' mom's house.  The whole family pitched in for a really fun gift, brought food, and came to hang out!  It was a very large group, and so much fun.  So much mingling, talking, etc... Time went by just way too fast :)

Happy Mother's Day weekend everyone!

Saturday Adventure

There are a lot of really fun hiking trails right by our house.  Part of the Bonneville Shorline Trail, and Adams Canyon.  And last Saturday while I was hosting an event at my house, Chris went and explored a couple of them.  And today we were just relaxing in our backyard, watching the girls play, and looking up at the Mountains, that are so close, and Chris suggested that we go for a little walk on the Bonneville Shorline Trail.  Mostly because there aren't too many steep up and downs.  And since I was feeling really good, it seemed like a great idea.

Oh how I have missed hiking!  It is one of my favorite past times!  I could hike all the time.  It was refreshing to be outside, smelling the trees, waving to the passing Mt. Bikers.  I think the girls had a blast!  And I know I did too :)

Crossing a cute little stream :)

Here we came out of a little canyon, to a view point, and Chris spotted our house!  Well, our trailer first, and then the house!  My Camera has an amazing zoom, and in this picture you can see how far up we are.  And in the next picture, I've zoomed in on our house and trailer.  So fun!!

I think I'm going to have to get up there and hike some of these trails a bit more often!

On our way back, Elle was telling Daddy that her legs were tired :)
What a fun little Adventure we had, on our relaxing Saturday...

Getting the Garden Ready

The other day the girls helped Chris remove all of the old Grass from the planter boxes, and get them ready for this years crop!  It's amazing how much unwanted stuff can grow in those boxes over one winter.  I can't wait to get this years tomatoes planted.  But this weather has been crazy, so I think I'll wait until after Mother's Day, just to be on the safe side.   I just love having a garden :)
