Our 4th of July 2012 at East Canyon

For the past few years, our traditional 4th of July trip has taken place up at East Canyon Resort, and this year was no different.  There were no Fireworks this year, due to the hot hot weather, and all of the fires in Utah, but we had a really great time, non the less.

My girls were sporting their 4th of July digs.
I just LOVE their boots!

To get into the spirit of things, we decided to let the kids decorate their bikes, and put on our own 4th of July parade around the campground.  We had lots of campers cheering us on, as we passed their trailers.  And we even threw out some candy to sweeten the deal.

We took walks, and played outdoors.

Ready....  get set.... GO!  And even had a few races :)

Campfires, were always fun!  With smores and good conversation.

One day we took advantage of the mini golf course, and tennis courts.  I think everyone had a great time!

And grandpa, gave everyone rides in the Ranger.

There was never a dull moment.  We swam almost everyday, and the kids played at the playground several times a day, and rode their bikes, etc...  It was another fabulous week at East Canyon, and another awesome 4th of July!!

Birthday Fireworks!

Yesterday was Bree's Birthday.
We did Fireworks!
They'll probably be the only Fireworks we see this year.
So we called them Birthday Fireworks!
The girls had a blast.

Bree turns 7!

I can't believe how much my girl has grown this year!  She has lost several teeth, and just plain grown out of her clothes.  She can read so well.  I am so in love with her.  She is amazing!

We decided to have her birthday party at home this year, instead of on our 4th of July camping trip.  I'm so glad we did.  It was so much fun!  And I'll be glad that we don't have to haul all the birthday stuff with us camping.  And I'm sure my family won't mind not having a birthday party while camping.

It took a good part of the day to set everything up.  Blowing up swimming pools, decorations, setting up games, etc.. etc..  Bree and Elle got a little anxious having to wait for the party to begin.  So I finally let them get in the pool about 20 min. before the party began.  They just couldn't wait any longer!

Their grandma bump bump, Roy and Ryan drove up from Pleasant Grove!  And I'm so glad they came.  My entire family came as well.  So the girls had plenty of little cousins to swim and play with all night long.  They really enjoyed themselves!!

Some of the cousins in the pool :)

Oh, we had the most amazing spread of food ever!!  I bought a meat and cheese tray, and we made sandwiches, Adelle brought the most amazing fruit Kabobs, my mom made an amazing vegi tray, Lois brought her famous and most delish potato salad, and everyone raved about the sun chips!  It was a super yummy feast for sure.

It was nice to sit and chat.  My brother and brother in law were most entertaining.  They played with all the toys and games and kept us all laughing!  It was a hoot!  It ended up in leaping, hula hooping, cartwheeling, and hand stand contests.

Bree LOVES Pandas.  So she picked out a cute picture of some pandas that we took to Walmart, and they put in right on her cake for us.  We were very impressed.  And Bree was very excited.

Bree had the most amazing pile of Birthday presents!  Everyone was so thoughtful and she just loved every single one!!  Thanks to everyone!!!

It was a fantastic evening of family and fun.  I hope everyone knows that I am so thankful for all of the yummy food, and company we had last night!  It's so much fun to spend time with my family!!!  And a big Happy Birthday to my little 7 year old Bree!  I love you!! :)
