Marching through March

March is marching on, and so are we.

Winter has been very mild along the Wasatch Front.  All of the snow has fallen in the Mountains, and what we have gotten down home, has melted off during the day.  We were only able to Get the Snowmobile out in the yard once this year.  Very unusual, but o.k. I guess.  Good for my out door walking this year.  I just hope we have enough water to last through the summer!

I had to post a few pics I took this week of one of our little snow storms.  I love the world all beautiful and white!
My neighborhood, backyard, etc...

We always have deer coming through the neighborhood.
And recently, we had about 12 come through all together in a herd.
It's fun to watch, and the girls love it.  They were just over our fence in the two neighbors yards.
This way, they can go up and down the hills, in the trees.

It's been so nice outside, that we've spent many days out riding bikes, scooters, etc..

We had a make shift gate at our stairs.  Tables on their side etc...  So inconvenient.
It really has been hard to get around in the house.  Then one day, Ruby figured out how to move the table and go right on through.  That was the last straw!  Our stairs are pretty, but dangerous.  They are so slippery, that Chris has even hurt himself pretty bad.  So I called him at work one day frantic.  There was just no way to keep Ruby away from them.  The same day, he found this gate on KSL.com, our FAVORITE place to shop and sell things.  He got it for a killer deal and brought it home.  I can't even tell you how much I love it!  How stress free it has made me.  No more hopping over tables etc.. I can carry laundry up and down stairs, and move around without such craziness.  And it doesn't look half bad either.

The other day was St. Patricks Day.  I was telling Bree about how when you find a Leprechan, you get to keep his pot of Gold.  Well, she immediately started searching for a Leprechan.  She was mad at me, when I wouldn't let her go out in the backyard and search, because it was snowing out that night.  She even made this little box full of green things, and a note.  Her and Elle left it in their room.  I found it the next day, and couldn't help myself.  I had to take a picture.  It was so cute!
She wrote about how she wasn't going to take his gold, but only wanted to see what the Leprechan looked like.  I remember wanting to find a Leprechan when I was little too.

Ruby still doesn't trust herself enough to walk on her own.
But she has learned how to turn her little cart all by herself, so that she can walk all over the house and around and around the circle through the living room, dining room, and kitchen.

One night we had a family date night.  Since it's nearly impossible for Chris and I to go on a real date of our own.  It was a lot of fun I must say....
We drove into Ogden, ate at El Matador, one of our old favorites, and then found ourselves, at Mt. Ogden Park.  Just driving around on the way home.

More time outside!

I Snapped this picture of Bree and her friends just the other morning, while waiting for the bus.
Sneaky me, with my cel phone :)

Oven Baked Tacos!!
Seriously one of the BEST Pinterest finds ever.
Love them :)

I have really been enjoying my time training for the Ogden Half Marathon with the ladies of Weber in Motion, and especially My Mom and sister Jen!
It seems like it just gets better and better.
Saturday we walked a 4 mile route.  We talked, laughed, and had the BEST time.  It's been so much fun having 2 weekly dates with these two amazing ladies.  I love this time we have together, and will seriously miss it when it's over.  Maybe we'll have to make our own weekly date.  To stay in shape for the Huntsville 10K that we've all signed up for in September.  Yeah, I think so.... :)

Ruby has 4 teeth, and loves to eat more and more normal food.  It's getting harder to feed her baby food, because she doesn't want it now.  But I'm worried about her getting enough to eat.  And all of those fruits and vegi's.

On St Patricks Day, I had my little family pose for a picture.  It just seemed like a fun thing to do, because we were all wearing our GREEN.

 And more time outside.... :)

I'm so glad that my three beautiful girls love each other.  They are truly the best of friends!
I hope that never changes :)

One of Ruby's new favorite places to play.
In, the kitchen cabinets...

And finally, Elle lost her 2nd tooth!
The tooth fairy brought her 2 dollars!!

Wearing Green

Happy St. Patricks Day!
When everyone got home from work and school yesterday, I coaxed them all into a family picture.
So here we are wearing our GREEN.

17 Months and 4 Teeth

Ruby 17 Months Old

I was just thinking that it had been a little while since I took some good pictures of Ruby.
Or should I say, pictures of her with my good Camera and not just my cel phone.
I was also thinking about how I wanted to get pictures of her first teeth.
So yesterday while we were playing, I was snapping pictures.
Trying to capture a glimps of her 4 tiny teeth.  She has her 2 front teeth on top and bottom.
They're not all the way in yet, so a couple of them are still small, but they are adorable.
Teeth are going to change her whole look.  She'll be more of a toddler than a baby.
She is only 3 weeks shy of being a year and a half!
She can stand on her own, but isn't walking yet.
She is still wearing 12 month PJ's and pants.
This girl has all of our hearts :)
Love you Ru!

Goings on...

The weeks seem to be flying by.  Just yesterday Bree told me that her Birthday is in 4 months!  What?  Ok, that's kind of far away, but not really.  She just turned 8 and was baptized.  How can she be turning 9 in 4 months?  It will be here before I can blink my eyes.  The girls are getting big so fast.  Wish I could just freeze time for a little while.
The other morning, as Bree and I were standing at the corner waiting for her bus, the neighbors bird feeders were covered in birds.  Snow was falling, and it was just fun to watch the birds, as we waited for the bus.  I decided to run back to the house for my camera, because I just knew I could take some really fun pictures.  This is the kind of stuff I love.  To just have time to notice the beauty all around us!

My Mom, sister Jen, and I have been training with a group of Women up at WSU.
We have 4 months to get ready to walk the Ogden Half Marathon.
Again, I can't believe how fast time flies.  We've just completed week 4!  We are a 4th of the way there already.  It's actually been quite fun.  I am meeting a lot of really nice people and having a great time getting in shape.  I love our training schedule.  It keeps me going.  Not wanting to miss any of the work outs, because I want to be as ready as I can on Marathon Day.
I got some new shoes!  And socks.  I think they are the most comfortable shoes I've had in years.  I went to the shoe store and tried on at least 10 pair.  And these won hands down!
And I am happy to report, that over the past month, I have lost 8lbs!  Slowly but surely.
Now to change my eating habits!! :)

Valentines was ok this year.  Chris and I have really been watching our money.
No flowers, no dinner, no date.
But the girls bought and made Valentines for their school classes, and Chris brought home these adorable, yummy, cupcakes for us girls :)
If you ask Dave Ramsey about Valentines he'll tell you all you need is, Beans, Rice, and Romance!
Ha..ha..

For the first time in years, we didn't make it to the RV Show!  That is very unusual.  But, I thought paying the entrance fee, and gas to go would be wasted, since we bought a new RV last Spring.  I would have loved to go walk through all the new trailers, and dream of our Summer Camping Days, but Spring will be here before you know it, and then we'll be living the dream, instead of dreaming.

Ruby loves to help Mommy around the house, and play in the laundry basket while I'm putting her sisters clothes away.

The weather has been so mild!  I can hardly believe it.  There is not one stitch of snow in our front yard, and it's almost gone in the back.  We only got the Snowmobile out 1 day!!  It's been snowing in the mountains instead, and that is where we need it, so I guess I can't complain.
And the girls have had some fun lately playing outside.  Getting the wiggles out, and breathing in the fresh air.
My girls have all been sick with colds ever since we got home from our East Canyon trip.  And every time we get them healthy, they get another.  I guess I'm going to have to sterilize my whole entire house!  I'm the only one who hasn't come down with something, and I'm praying that I stay healthy, so I can continue my exercise routine!
Yesterday Chris went to the dentist.  His Nephew is a dentist, and doesn't charge us for a lot of stuff!  Thank goodness for that, because Chris was cursed with really bad teeth.  He had to have a molar pulled and will just be missing it forever.  They are ordering him a crown for another tooth, and he had several cavities.  The poor guy.  He brushes and flosses faithfully everyday, only to have constant problems.  I sure hope the girls have my teeth!!!  Can't say that enough.
And while Chris was at the dentist yesterday, being a holiday, I took the girls to the theater to see Frozen.  yeah, we're probably the last people on the planet to see it, but the girls really enjoyed it.  It was Ruby's 1st movie, and she was awesome!  She was even dancing on my lap through all of the songs.  It was a good time :)

Winter Weekend

This past weekend the older girls and I went on a little family retreat.  Chris opted to stay home with Ruby.  It was the first time I've ever not been with Ruby.  I cried when we left.  Love that little Ruby so much.  But no one can take better care of her, than Daddy!

My parents got two Condo's at East Canyon Resort.  I've never gone up there in the Winter.  It was really awesome!  I had a marvelous time, and I know the girls just loved having so many cousins to play play play with every moment.  We watched movies, played tons of games, the kids swam in the kiddie pool, outside!!!, some adults sat in the hot tub, we took the kids tubing, went on walks, and ate tons, and tons of really good food.  I actually came home with a new recipe, from Adelle, Monica, and Jennifer!  Grandpa gave each kid, $5 to spend at the little store.  Each cousin picked out a toy or two with their money.  And we had quite the spread while watching last nights Super Bowl game.

It was a fun little get away.  A break from the norm.  I'm glad the girls and I were able to go, and have some play time.  I love spending time with family :)
