New Appliances

I was just talking to my Mom the other day, and realized, that Chris and I have never had new appliances....that is, until now!

Our 1st home, had NO dishwasher.  Our 2nd, a very old one, that was falling apart.

And our 3rd, and current home, a very very old one, that never really worked!

So when it finally died recently, we were able to go and pick out a brand new one.  

We also had a really old fridge.  So we decided that we would get a new Fridge and Dish Washer at the same time.  Two that were both new, and would actually match each other in design.

We found the ones we wanted and placed our order.  

We had waited a couple of weeks, before ordering, washing the dishes by hand.  

Then it was time to pick up our new dish washer.  

We went to the store, waiting over an hour for them to pull it from the back, brought it home, opened it up, and *IT WAS DAMAGED!*  Wait, what?  ARG!

So we took it back, and ordered a new one, that would be another week in coming.

So after a week, the delivery guys came, and brought it into the house.  I was the only one home, because it was during the day.  And when they took it out of the box, my JAW HIT THE FLOOR!

It was the very SAME, damaged dish washer, that we had returned the week before!!!  

Are you serious?  I was speechless!  NO WAY!  Am I dreaming?  Is this for real?

So they took it back, and ordered another, that we would have to wait another week for!

Meanwhile, the new fridge came.  And it was fine.

Another week went by, and finally, they brought the new dish washer.  

Whew!  IT was fine.

By this time, we had been hand washing everything but the paper plates, for a month and a half now!

I was seriously ready for my new dishwasher!  Yes, please!!

So now that we've had said, new appliances for a month and a half, can I just say, that I have never been so thrilled!!  You don't have to bend over to see what is in the fridge.  And the things that are in back of other things don't disappear, and grow mold, and get lost forever!  

And we have Ice Cubes and Water in the door!  I LOVE IT!!!! 

And don't even get me started on the new dish washer!  It's amazing.  I never even knew.. my whole 12 years of married life, that your dishes really could be clean.  And that I could stand in the kitchen, and all of a sudden look around and say, oh yeah, the dish washer is running....I forgot.  I can't hear a thing!  

I am in LOVE with my new appliances.  And I would highly recommend them to everyone and anyone!  I am in heaven :)  

P.S.  we had to remove some floor tiles, to get the old dish washer out, because it was tiled in.  And they haven't been replaced, yet, but any day now.  Really..... 

I really had no idea, just how nice they would be.  

I couldn't have imagined...
