The weekend...

This weekend being a 3 day weekend, we decided to do some fun things with the girls. So Friday night, we took them to Chuck E Cheese. They love it!! Love the games, and rides, and of course, love turning in their tickets, for a prize or two at the end of the night.

Here is Elle riding in a Car with Chuck E Cheese :)
And Bree rode this horse, in a horse race game. She was a little nervous at first, but then she was totally into it.
Then on Saturday, we decided to take the girls to the Dinosaur Park, because we have a seasons pass. I love this place, because it really is geared toward smaller children, and it's just so darn fun. The first thing Bree wanted to do, was dig for bones. And she actually uncovered a dinosaur Egg as well.

But my favorite part of all of it, was just the fact that Daddy was there with us. He's not the most social person, and doesn't like to go to all of the activities that are planned, because as you know in a large family, it can be a lot. So to have the whole weekend with Daddy, was the best part for me :)
I think I've just needed some extra time with this handsome man!!! And after the Dino Park, we went up the canyon and had an awesome lunch at The Oaks.
On our way back, we stopped at the Waterfall. The Ogden river is Seriously High, and Chris and I couldn't believe how loud all that water is, and how crazy and fast it was coming down. Seriously amazing!!! I'm so glad that Chris doesn't work on Monday!! More time together as a family :)

Arts Night

Tonight was (Arts Night) at Bree's school. Each grade performed 2 songs, and then we walked the halls to find Bree's Art work, and then last but not least, we headed to the book fair.

I was pretty far back, taking my pictures, so they aren't too good. But I video taped the whole thing, and it turned out really cute!
There are 3 Kindergarten classes. 2 Morning, and 1 Afternoon :) Bree is in the afternoon class.

Then we found Bree's Art Work! She said she painted a clown. I think it's really cute.
This is Bree's Teacher Mrs. Hardy! We love her. She is the BEST!!!

And at the Book fair, instead of a book, my girls picked out these cute little pink Fashion Boxes that they have in their hands.
Inside their boxes, were some Pink Sunglasses, a neckless, bracelet, clip on earrings, (which are Elle's total favorites), some stickers, a makeup kit, (which we took the makeup out, and put stickers in their place for pretend makeup, and a cute little fashion book. My girls haven't put them down since we got home, and I know it will be the first thing they find in the morning!

They both gave me a fashion pose!!

I can't believe that next week is Bree's last week in Kindergarten. This year has gone by so fast. And Bree has learned so so much!! She loves school, and she might even decide to ride the bus next year. I LOVE this little girl so much :) Both of my girls!!!

Elle's Haircut and a day at the Park

Elle's hair is so so curly! And it has been getting really long. She doesn't let me comb it much. So it gets really tangled, and hard to comb when we do. I finally decided, that she needed a shorter, layered look, with some bangs, to keep it out of her face. Something easy for the summer. So that is what we did :) I cut a lot of length off, layered the rest, and gave her some bangs. I think she looks absolutely adorable. And the best part is.....that I can just get my hands wet, and run my fingers through her hair, and whala..... it looks great :)

I asked her to smile, and this is what I got! ha..ha.. so cute :)
Then we headed to the park! This was over the weekend of course. Before it started raining this week. We found a new park. With toys we hadn't seen before. An obstacle course, and this spinning bowl, that Bree is sitting in. All very fun. Chris wants one of these bowls for our backyard! We enjoyed ourselves a lot! Took a picnic, and had a blast.

My girl Amazes Me!!

Bree is so awesome! Today she Amazed me even more :) At her school, they were having a Fun Run Fundraiser for next years field trips. There was a 5k and a 1k for the smaller kids. A couple days before the event, I still hadn't signed us up. I mean, lets face it. Except for a few walks around the neighborhood, we've taken in the past couple of weeks, it's been a year since I've worked out! But my girl LOVES to RUN!! We play all kinds of games in the backyard. Bree will ask me to give her a running assignment, like....run around the apple tree and then come back. Or run around the swing set, and then back. I will count slowly, and she will try and make it back to me before I reach the number 10.

So Thursday, as I was picking her up from school, she says to me, "Did you sign us up, and are we going to the fun run on Saturday?" She said "Please please please, we have to do it!" Well, #1 Daddy was working overtime and would be working on Saturday, #2 I don't run, #3 What would I do with Elle, #4 the whole idea just sounded like too much work, etc...etc.. But, she is so wonderful, and wants to participate in everything, and how could I let her down? So I got us registered. Now the only thing was, could she do it by herself? I mean, I would just hold her back! But they were going out on the street for a while, and I wouldn't be able to see her, and would she be ok? My tiny Kindergarten girl, all alone? Ug!!! But today we left Elle at grandma's, Chris went to work, and Bree and I headed to the run.

I was standing there with her at the start, but when they said go, she took off all by herself, with so many other people. I was nervous for her. I just told her to follow everyone else. To be careful, and I would be cheering her on. And she did it!!!! I was worried for a little bit, while I could see people returning from the street run, and she still wasn't coming. But sure enough, here she came. And she was giving it her all. A long run for a little girl. She was so excited to be running! Man, I am so proud of her!!! She has taught me a lot today. My goal for next year, is that we run the race together! :)

Bree all checked in, and her number is on!
Here she comes! She can see me, and she is smiling!

Only a bit further....
Coming to the finish....

Yahoo!!! She did it!
Look Mom, I won a Medal :)
It says, Winner on one side and #1 on the other.... Perfect for my little girl :)
Bree and her friend Camille. They are in the same Kindergarten Class.
Anika, Camille, and Bree. All in the same class.

Mothers Day Weekend

I LOVE my Mother!! There aren't even words to express how much I love her, and how dear she is to me. I wish I was even half the mother that she is. Then I would know that I was doing something right! Even thinking about her makes me a little teary eyed. Everyone that knows her, tells me how wonderful she is. She is so giving, and caring. She is a great example, when it comes to the gospel. Her love of genealogy is amazing. She is always reading, and trying to teach us even as Adults about the things she learns. Anything to help her children.

About a week before Mother's Day, one of my grandma's had her 90th Birthday. And some of us got together to celebrate. We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory and it was so so Yummy! Here is our group picture. I Love my grandma's!! They are wonderful Women :)
Friday before Mother's Day, we went to see Chris' Mom. She loves to play with the girls. They play Hide and Seek, she pulls them in the wagon, and anything else they want to do. Here is a picture I took of them up in the Tree House! Amazing... she is 82 I think.
And then on Mother's Day, my parents and some family came over for dinner. I wanted to get a picture of the girls with my Mom, but Elle was too busy playing. So I got this picture of Bree and my Mom :) I am so lucky to have great Women in my life!! Happy Mother's Day.

My Yard is in Bloom :)

We've been spending a lot more time out doors lately. We have 14 trees in our yard. And I didn't realize, that the fruit trees, and the trees in our front yard all blossom. It's really cool. We moved in at the end of May last year. But I think we had so much going on with the move, that I missed the first part of Spring. There are pretty flowers everywhere, and I thought I would just share.

These 4 trees in our front yard, are so pretty and pink! They smell really great too!
The Cherry tree is amazing right now, covered in white blossoms!

And our 2 Peach tree's have pretty pink blossoms.
These leaves are sprouting on the huge tree in the backyard.
We Love our yard. And can't wait to spend another wonderful Spring and Summer playing outside :)

Kindergarten is almost over

Today when I pulled some papers out of Bree's backpack, I pulled out the last Calendar of the school year.. May! Wow, I can't believe how this year has flown by! Seriously, I can't believe that by the end of the month, Bree will be done with Kindergarten.

It's been fun to watch her learn. Bree has had the most amazing Teacher. We just put in an order for her little year book.

Bree is a little worried about going a full day next year. But I think she's going to have fun eating lunch at school, and she's talking me into letting her riding the bus!

I took these cute pics, one morning last week, before school. She is getting so big :)
