Since Christmas....

I just realized, that I haven't blogged since I blogged about Christmas and New Years.
I don't know weather it's because no one reads my blog much anymore, or the fact that my computer is on it's last leg, and it takes forever for me to do anything on it, as it is soooo slow and crashes 10 times a day!
But, here we go....

I've been in a cooking funk lately.  My girls have gotten so picky, that I just hardly ever cook anything anymore.  That, and I'm trying to loose weight, which hasn't been happening.
I tried a new recipe for Homemade Mac and Cheese.  It was delish!  Ruby really loved it, and helped finish it off.  I guess it's time to hit the cookbooks for more solid ideas :)

Since my girls and I got new rollerskates for Christmas, we've seriously been skating once a week!
I love it, and they love it.  I have to beg them to leave every time we go.  We always end up staying a minimum of about 3 hours.  It's a great leg workout!! :)
I like this new activity, and I like that we do it often!

Well, I had another Birthday in January!  Ug!!  I'm getting OLD.
I almost just want to forget my birthdays from now on, but then it is kinda fun to celebrate too!
I was totally spoiled this year.
My mom watched the girls, while Chris took me to my favorite place for lunch....Olive Garden.
Then on my actual Birthday, The girls made me cards, and we ended up swimming with a bunch of family, which was super fun as well.  And Monica bought us all some yummy doughnuts.
And then Chris and the girls and I ended up at Red Robin one day, with an awesome tower of Onion Rings, and yummy burgers.  Chris Mom gave me $50, which I spent on some very expensive running shoes, that cost a lot more than just 50.  And My mom gave me a gift card to Target.  I used my gift card to buy a new exercise jacket.  And Chris' sister, never forgets me, and sent me a card with $10!  See.... totally spoiled :)

Bree made this cute research poster for School.  She is an awesome student!

Most of the time, I just LOVE hanging out with the girls at home!  Or anywhere!
They are so cute to play together, and love each other :)

We also had some parent teacher conferences.
My girls amaze me!!  Their teachers just love them.  They get rave reviews.
They love school and are excellent students!  I always get praised as if I had anything to do with it.
I'm not sure where these special girls came from, (well, I do know), but I am just so blessed that they are mine :)  I love them to pieces!!!

And a week ago, we spent a fun weekend getaway up at East Canyon with my whole family!
I really enjoyed myself!
Dax was awesome with his Karaoke, and let me sing a whole whole lot!  I was really having tons of fun with it!

We ate a lot of food!  The whole weekend!
And partied and laughed!  Dancing, Karaoke, Magic shows, walks, games, etc...
It was fabulous!

I think one of my favorite things, was a nice long walk in the SUN!  I just love being outside.
Now I have the camping bug.  I need to plan another vacation :)

Jen and I have been doing a lot of walking.  We are training for the Ogden Half Marathon again.
I don't know why I ever quit exercising, because then I just have to start all over again, but it's all good.  I am really enjoying myself.  I have fun with the ladies each week at our meetings, and in class.  We work out together, and walk together, and it's just a blast!  I really enjoy it all.  Last week, we did some get to know you things in class.  I already know a lot of ladies, but there are a lot of new ones too.  And since I'm there alone, and don't have Mom and Jen to hang with, I feel like I'm really talking to a lot more people this time, because I am forced to.  It's been really fun!  I'm not doing very well with my diet, but I'm working on it.  I am determined to get Healthy!!  And have fun doing it :)

Saturday, we had an impromptu lunch at El Matador in Ogden, and then stopped off at Mt. Ogden Park to play on our way home.  The girls really enjoyed the park and didn't want to leave.  They had this really tall, slide that was like going down a chute!  It took the girls some time to decide they could do it :)  The weather has been so mild this winter.  Have we even had a Winter?  We're probably going to pay for it, this summer, but I can't say that I mind right now.  It's sure a lot nicer to train and play outside a lot more than normal.

And that's what we've been up to, since Christmas......

Christmas and New Years

In a way I'm a little bit sad that the Holidays are over, but then again, I am excited for a New Year, and ready to set some new goals, and have something new to focus on.

We had a fabulous Christmas.  Santa was very generous and everyone got what they wanted.
We were able to spend time with both Chris and my families for the holidays, and had some fun time off school and work, to play with our each other, and our new toys.

Our Christmas Selfie :)

Elle made this at school and brought it home for Chris and I.  One of my favorite gifts!

And who needs an Elf on the Shelf, when we have this cute little Elf of our own :)

Before Christmas, while the girls were home from school, I took them and we spent an afternoon at the Mall.  Lunch in the food court, and a trip to the Mall play area.  And I bought the girls some Kendamas.  I guess they are all the rage.

Santa Came....

And so did the Snow!
We woke up to a White Christmas.
Just perfect :)

 Ruby's Kitchen

I think this is one of the girls favorite gifts... Their new Rollerskates.
Santa surprised Mommy with a new pair of skates as well.  And we've already been to the rink to try them out!

Ruby's Slide

Trying out her sister's new Karaoke Machine...

An intense game of Battleship!  :) he..he..

Going for a ride in Daddy's new Wagon

Belnaps

While on break, we went Roller Skating, did a little Sledding in the Backyard, with the girls new tubes, and played with our new Karaoke Machine!  We've really had some fun.

Our New Years Eve Spread!
Fruit, a Vegi Tray, 7 Layer Dip, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins, Cheese and Crackers, Chocolate, etc...  We definitely weren't lacking for good food :)

Skating with Cousin Aleigha.
We stayed for 3 hours.
I think we're going to have to go skating often :)

Playing in the Snow!
We've all had some sickness over the holidays, but finally made it outdoors.

Karaoke Fun!

We've been working on this puzzle over the whole break.
I kind of did most of it on my own, with a little help from Chris.
It took me 2 weeks.  Not enough good lighting, which made it harder, but we got it done!

Chris found out about a little New Years Eve Cartoon Countdown on Netflix.  So about 8:30pm, we watched it, counted down to New Years, and made some noise!!  We had pops, and horns, etc.. We wanted Ruby to be able to Celebrate with us, before she went to bed.  It was perfect!  So cute!
And when midnight came, we watched the Ball drop in NYC very quietly :)
