Snow Day!!

Finally, some snow.  I know it snowed once already, but we weren't able to get out in it.  And Bree has been wanting to play in the snow ever since.  It's been snowing all morning...most of the day.  So today, I told her that when Elle went down for her nap, we would go outside and play in the snow.  I mostly shoveled, but we had some fun too!

Bree's 1st Dance Recital

Today is Bree's 1st Dance Recital.  She was a little scared at first.  They dance two dances.  One at the begining of the program, and then another at the end.  She didn't really want to be left alone, so I was backstage the whole time with her, and then after her first dance we got to sit and watch all the other girls do their dances, so by the end of the show, she was really excited to get back up there and do her second dance.  She did such a great job.  She looked so cute out there!  Tonight is the real thing.  Daddy and Grandma and Elle are coming to watch.  We've had lunch, and a nap, and it's time to start getting ready for tonight's program.  Yeah Bree!!!

Happy Birthday Babe!!

Today is Chris' 40th Birthday.  Happy Birthday Honey!  We love you!!  Today Chris' work gave him the day off with pay, like his own personal paid holiday for his birthday, so we get to be with him all day.  Tonight we're hitting our favorite restaurant OLIVE GARDEN for dinner and then we're taking the girls to TEMPLE SQUARE to see the lights.  I'll have to post some of those pictures for you all tomorrow :)

Lights at Thanksgiving Point

Last night we took a minute to go over and take the girls through the lights at Thanksgiving point.  The best part is, that you're just in your car all cozy and warm driving through.  We wished it was longer though.  Bree didn't want to leave :)

Ok, Breaking away from all of the Christmas hype, I've been feeling a little couped up lately.  Now that we're back in our house, and everything is pretty much done.  I'm dying to get outdoors, and now it's winter!  I like winter too, but when I'm not able to get out and ski, or recreate, then I get a little crazy.  I just LOVE summer, and all of the things we can do outside.  So, even though the holidays are upon us, I've been rummaging through the old pictures, well, just a few, and I've found some inspiration.  My mom used to tell me that every time I got bored, it was time to plan a new vacation.  So today I told Chris, that I'm planning..  even if we can't go for a while, well, there might be reservations to be made or something I could do to prepare, and to plan it :)  I know this is a crazy time to be thinking about spring, and we have a lot of winter still ahead of us...I hope I can make it!

Might have to go tubing or something!!  :)

Visit with Santa

Today I had to make a stop at the Mall, and who should be there...Santa.  I really had to talk Bree into it, and I didn't do a very good job.  She was NOT excited.  And the only way she would get close to him, is if she could sit on my lap.  But, we got our pictures taken with Santa, and I thought it was fun :)

Elle's Birthday Party

Well, our theme for Elle's 1st Birthday Party, was Ducky!  Little Ducky everything!

Elle was so cute opening her presents, once she was able to wrestle them away from Bree :)

After she was done opening them, we all posed for a picture.  We only invited our Grand parents.  It was a small, but really fun party, with a Roast dinner, and of course, Cake and Ice Cream.
Here's Elle, playing with the little Ducky game I actually bought for Bree to play with her Grandma's.
Of  Course, Elle got her own little cake, that she totally demolished!  Cake was everywhere.  We had to tear apart the Highchair, and put Elle in the Bath!

Considering, Elle doesn't have ANY teeth yet, and hasn't eaten much food other than baby food, I think she enjoyed her cake!
Elle with Grandma and Grandpa Belnap!
Happy Birthday Tomorrow, December 1st, My little Elle Lovebug!!
