Midway Ice Castles

Still trying to get caught up on the blog.....

We went to the Midway Ice Castles again this year.
It just so happened, that I was telling Chris that I really wanted to go.  So we planned the trip kind of last minute, instead of planning ahead, but I'm so glad we did.
The day we went, it was so extremely cold, but the girls didn't seem to mind once we got playing in the Ice.  But about a week or two after we went, the weather turned warm, and they were going to have to close the Ice Castles a bit early for the season.  Go figure!
You just never know what will transpire, so I guess you need to do the things you want to, when you're thinking about it, because you just never know.

Before we went to the Ice Castles, we stopped for dinner at the Dairy Keen
(Train Burger) in Heber.
Chris and his nephews used to stop and eat the amazing soup here, when they would go
snowmobiling on a regular basis!  Mmmmm, good :)

One of my favorite pictures.
I took a LOT, but am only going to post a few here.

We've been to the Ice Castles in the past.  This year, something new that the girls LOVED were the two new Ice Slides.  A little one, for the little kids, and then a long windy one for everyone else.
The girls went on the slides, over and over and over!  I had to beg them to leave.
They were a total hit for sure.  I hope they keep making the slides!

I'm not going to say too much, maybe because I'm feeling a bit lazy today, but the Ice Castles are always super fun!  We stayed longer than I think most people would.  For hours.  Partly, because of the slides, but partly, because you really can just walk through them over and over, with the colors in the Ice changing, and it's just so beautiful.  And our family loves to do anything out doors.
Until next year?

New Years

This year (2015), we spent New Years up at my Aunt and Uncles Cabin.
We took our Snowmobiles, and spent 4 days, and 3 nights.
It was a lot of fun!
Food
Snow
Games
Cousins
Fires in the fireplace
Snowmobiles
Sledding
Fireworks
Dancing
And lots of stories and laughter!
I love spending time with family.  This was a really great time!

Christmas

Well, since I'm trying to catch up, I'll just say that Christmas is always fun!
The music, the lights, and lots of great food and family.
So here are some pics to recap...

Temple Square is always amazing anytime, but really beautiful around the holidays!

Ogden Village

Ruby's Minnies

Ogden Village

Home Sweet home....

Looks like Santa came!

Bree's favorite presents.. her iPod and speaker.

I think Ruby's favorite, were her birds in the bird cage.  But she loved her minnie mouse mall too!

Elle's favorite gift was probably her Red Camera.  But coming in a close 2nd, was her RED remote controlled helicopter!

Three cute mermaids, for three cute girls!
Bree's favorite color blue.  Ruby's blond hair matched her mermaid.  And Elle loves the Red haired (orange hair) mermaid.

We were sick the week before Christmas, so this year we didn't make it to the Jorgensen family party.  But we did make it over to the Belnap's for presents, cousins, food, and so much fun, on Christmas day!
Most of the girl cousins in the top photo.
And the bottom photo was fun, because the kids weren't even posed for a picture.  Aunt Camber just happened to be walking by, and all the little ones were sitting in granny B's chair all together!

A Snowy Winter

Winter was a lot of fun this year!
We had so much SNOW!
And we love to play in the snow.

So to catch up, here are a few pics from most of the times we played in the snow...

We also played in the snow at my aunts cabin over new years, and at the Ice Castles, and at East Canyon, but I'll post those pics, in their own posts.

It's been an amazing season!
