This week, we've been working hard to put things away, and get organized in our new house. The girls are loving their new yard. We spend time out there everyday. The girls have their own rooms now. I am loving that. Elle doesn't wake Bree up at night, and Bree doesn't come in wanting to sleep on my floor anymore.
This week, we went to our new ward for the first time. I can't believe how many people introduced themselves to us, and welcomed us to the ward. It is a very big ward. I guess the biggest in the steak. We meet at the Stake Center. There are ward houses a little closer to us, but I guess this one is big enough to accommodate such a huge ward. It seems weird that the ward house isn't just in the neighborhood, or around the corner. We really do have to drive to church. No walking. There was a huge RS Room, and it seemed full. But the ladies assured me that there were many people on vacation, and missing from church. I guess people share callings, just so that they have an opportunity to serve. Not like in Lehi, where pretty much everyone in the ward had to have a calling, just so we could fill them all. And some of us had 2 callings. Sunday School Class was seriously HUGE. The ward is older though, and they are so glad to have Bree and Elle in the ward. Oh, a younger family they said. Chris thought it was funny, that at the ripe old age of 40, we're considered a young family! ha..ha.. I Seriously LOVE our new ward. I'm really excited to meet some more people. After church, we had lunch, a 3 hour nap, dinner, games, took a walk in the neighborhood. It was a fun family day for sure.
My tomatoes are doing awesome!! I only planted them a week ago, and they are growing so fast. I already see some flowers :) It takes Chris 2 and some times 2&1/2 hours to mow the lawn. We're going to spray the fruit trees this week, and have to trim some trees in the front and weed, etc.. etc.. The grape vines are seriously in action too. I am loving living so close to the mountains again. We have the best mountain views and it's so quiet. Except for the occasional Jets flying by at Hill AF Base.
I love that my Mom is only 10 minutes away. I get to see her so much more now. I can just stop by whenever I want, and she has made a few surprise visits to our house too. I have seen all of my siblings except for one. My girls will get to play with their cousins a whole lot more. And when I get all of the boxes unpacked, and everything in it's place, I'll take some pictures of the house and post them for you. Not just pictures of the backyard.
I got my hair cut and gave myself a color. I tried to grow it out, but I just can't do it. I was too hot, and with my natural curl it would just fuzz up. Now it's short and there's no more gray. Yeah, I'm getting a bit gray, and that's not in my future.. ha..ha.. So I posted a couple of pics of the new do. Curly, and straight. I'm a little bummed that the nearest Costco is in Ogden. But, whatcha gonna do? I just told Chris, that he could stop for diapers on his way home from work :)
Well, I guess you're updated for now. And so is my blog. I've posted a few pics. After hearing about all of the water and canals over flowing in Lehi, I have to say that I'm NOT sad at all to have left those worrisome water days behind us. But it's always hard to leave friends behind.

Lookin good woman! So happy for you and your family. Wish we could see you. Grandma is really, really slow and skinny now. I understand your other grandma is too. Part of life as sad as it is. Have a great weekend. Love ya.

I love you hair straight! It looks awesome. I am glad that you are enjoying you new home. Sometimes I wish that we would have moved, just so I can clean out all the crap that has accumulated over the years. :) We will have to get together. I know we have said that for a while now, but you are closer and things in my house are settling down...finally.
